Classification of Needle Roller Bearings

• Machined Ring Needle Roller Bearings: These feature solid, machined outer rings. They can be designed with or without inner rings. Bearings without inner rings are separable and require the shaft surface to be hardened and ground to serve as the inner raceway.
• Drawn Cup Needle Roller Bearings: Constructed with a thin, stamped steel outer cup, these bearings offer a very low cross-sectional height and high load capacity. They are typically installed with an interference fit and are often used where the housing bore cannot serve as a raceway.
